LOCATION
The villa, ideal for a group of family or friends is a stylishly restored 3 bedroom fully serviced villa. The villa is conveniently situated on a hill slope as you enter the village of Siolim. Siolim is centered 15-20 minutes from the tourist beaches of Candolim, Calangute and Baga on one side and the northern beaches of Morjim, Ashwem, and Arhambol on the other side. The closest beaches are Anjuna, Vagator, and Morjim (within 15 minutes). The famous Arpora Saturday Night Market is only 4 km away on the same road as this villa. The location is exclusive yet accessible; perfect for holidays when you want to be near the action and away from it all.

The villa has been designed from two 100 year old Portuguese houses that have been combined to form one luxurious house. The house is inspired by local architecture and created with a lot of love. Guests have the experience of living in an ancient house with the comforts of a modern home. The architecture and design is an amalgamation of Portuguese, Sri Lankan and South East Asian designs created by the owners.

The swimming pool set in the courtyard of the house offers a private experience of swimming while gazing at the spectacular view of the stars. The entire house centers around the pool as the living room and the 3 bedrooms are situated around it. The pool continues into the living room inviting you to take a dip at any time. The living room also has an open kitchen which is fully equipped with all modern amenities for cooking up that delicious meal. On the other side of the living room is a veranda which overlooks the patio with a fountain. The entire property is surrounded by gardens on 3 sides along with a patio in the front of the house; another place to enjoy that cup of local tea.
All rooms have high ceilings, including the bedrooms. The master bedroom with a four poster bed is 45 sq mtrs and has a large en-suite bathroom. The attached bathroom has a large bathtub built for 2. The master bedroom also includes a private garden to the side and veranda to the front. Bedroom 2 which is 40 sq mtrs is furnished with teak wood furniture including a boat shaped bed imported from Bali also has an all white bathroom attached. Bedroom 3, 35 sq mtrs in size with a direct view of the pool has a unique outdoors bathroom which includes an open-to-sky shower. This bathroom also contains the original well of the house and still operates today as a source of water for gardening. Guests have access to the fully serviced and functional kitchen, all amenities in the rooms, swimming pool, garden & patio.
Additionally the staff can organize car & bikes on rent, chauffeur driven cars, in room massage service, yoga, boat tour on the nearby river and yummy cakes from a nearby bakery & cafe.
The theme of The villa is Mangoes and Coconuts which is why the house is painted a rich yellow and the pillars lining the veranda and pool are all made of coconut tree wood. The perimeter of the house is lined with coconut trees and the garden includes lavish fruit bearing mango trees. The villa is the perfect place to have an exotic retreat, reunion with family or friends or a romantic getaway. You can enjoy your morning breakfast (included) facing the garden at the side of the house or in the front of the house where you can watch the world go by. The house can comfortably fit anywhere from six to eight guests. Our staff is very warm and friendly.
At The villa we only charge for the number of rooms you use, so if you're just a couple and want an exclusive experience occupying only 1 bedroom then pay for only 1 room while enjoying exclusivity of the entire villa. Similarly if you need only 2 bedrooms, pay for only 2 bedrooms and likewise for 3 bedrooms. The maximum occupancy is 8 guests if you book all 3 bedrooms. Extra guests beyond 2 guests per room are also charged additionally.

Beautifully done up, open kitchen and lobby, an indoor pool, a big room with a gorgeous bathroom..and this old world charm comes with all the modern amenities. And to further top up this beautiful experience there is D and his wife Margret to pamper you with yummy breakfast accompanied with lots of entertaining local gossip and information.

"This review comes quite a bit late but it has always been tugging in my heart to write a review for this cozy quaint little place that made our 3 day trip to Goa one of the most memorable one. Me, my husband and 2 other couples have been wanting a vacation at Goa for a long time. One of us stumbled upon this place The Villa online,saw the pictures and booked it right away. This place looks quite simple from outside but man oh man, did we get a surprise when we walked in! Beautiful open pool right in the middle of the building. The monsoon rains just added to its beauty. All the 3 bedrooms and bathrooms are huge and so beautiful. We had a tough time selecting our bedrooms and finally agreed to take turns to spend a night in each bedroom, lol. One of the bedrooms even had an outdoor bathroom with the open sky being your roof.
Being at Goa, the last thing you want to do is stay indoors but thats exactly what we did. Rain over the pool, great music, Green trees around, best friends, cold beer and warm scrumptious food. Why would anyone want to step out? (Also reminded us that we we are getting old)D and his family made such amazing food for us, especially the breakfast! Oh, it was yum! They were lovely hosts and gave us complete freedom to enjoy ourselves. We also had the kitchen to ourselves and made our own dinner once.
At the end of 3 days, we just didn't want to leave this place and promised ourselves that we will be back again for our next reunion!Thanks to D for making this place feel even more warmer!"

The Villa is one of the best places to stay, we were lucky enough to get the property to ourselves for most of our stay and its stunning. There is a beautiful pool in the court yard which relaxes you instantly. You have three rooms for guests with nice contempory design with a Balanise flavour. We staid in two of the rooms during our stay, the large back room with the outside bathroom and the side room with the white bathroom . Both rooms have good linens, pillows and are very comfortable . Our room was cleaned every day to a high standard.
So it's a beautiful location but the best thing is D ! He looked after us so well, organising washing, beer , the take away menus and ensuring we had everything we needed. His wife arrives every morning to cook amazing breakfast !! Yes you get lovely breakfast here too, fruit, pastry, toast, Indian breakfast , eggs and excellent filter coffee or teas. I had an amazing stay at The Villa I highly recommend and I will definitely come back.
The property also has a friendly night watchman who insisted in doing our washing up if we ate in which was very kind. And Tommy a very good Goan dog that lives in the house.
I am charmed by the whole experience.

"The Villa is this beautiful cozy comfortable bungalow in Siolim (ofcourse!) D and his family manage the place.They are friendly and take complete care of you. Perfect hosts. Its a little home away from home. A lovely pool as soon as you step out of your room. Amazing breakfast. D's wife can cook up some really yummy scrambled eggs and omletes. And she for sure knows how to pick the juiciest and the sweetest of fruits. The tranquility, the non intrusive hosts who are really warm and friendly, the food, the lovely pool and overall decor of the cottage..just puts you in this 'I am in Goa and can totally unwind' mood..just perfect place to stay to relax and dive into this complete 'Goa holiday spirit'....and yes for those who cannot stay away from their phones and laptops..wifi too... good network"
